Bf3R Commission
As part of efforts to establish the Bf3R as an integral part of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), the Bf3R Commission was appointed initially in 2017 as the successor commission to the former ZEBET Commission (Centre for the Documentation and Evaluation of Alternatives to Animal Experiments).
Tasks of the Bf3R Commission
The task of the experts of the commission is to provide advice to the Bf3R regarding its scientific activities. The advice resulting from the commission's work is addressed to the BfR and is only intended to be understood as a recommendation. It should support the BfR in implementing its legal tasks and scientific goals. The committee of up to 15 scientific experts is elected every four years.
